Iranian Intelligence Arrest a 22 year-old Photographer
Iranian intelligence arrested the 22 year-old Hakim Marwani ,a photographer and cultural activist on social media .His photos and videos portrayed a range of subjects such as the poverty and deprivation of indigenous population and social and cultural aspects of Ahwazi Arab lives in Arabistan .
According to eyewitnesses, Iranian intelligence in civilian clothing broke into his house in “Mallashieh” west of Ahwaz and confiscated his computer and phone and transferred him to an undisclosed location .
According to Ahwazi activists ,Hakim Marwani who has won first place in “Reyhana festival for young photographers “ studies in Ahwaz tech university and is considered one of Arab cultural and environmental activists where subjects of his photography is environmental pollution ,drought of Karoon river, social ,cultural and traditional landscape of Arabistan region .
Recently the Iranian authorities have started a massive campaign of arrests ,targeting these youth who only through peaceful and lawful ways have shown their dissatisfaction with Tehran’s policies .
This November “Hussein Bagherzadeh” ,the head of intelligence in Al-Ahwaz region has announced the launching of “security and intelligence academy “ in Ahwaz for managing their “soft intelligence war” to combat the rising dissatisfaction of people by the policies being carried out by the central government .

Ahwaz- HRANA News Agency – 19 Arab civilians with ages of 15 to 30 were sentenced to imprisonment and fine in branch number 101 of the revolutionary court of this city in Khouzestan province. Their relatives called the trial unfair due to unavailability of the lawyer and the short time of the court.

At a time when the migrant crisis dominates headlines in Europe's press, activists, journalists and academics from across the world gathered in Hungary's capital Budapest to discuss the challenges facing migrants and host communities.

Representatives of non-governmental organizations, including the Ahwaz Human Rights Organization, sought engaged in dialogue to address the role of human rights, gender, the media and policy-making in dealing with migration and integration.

At the end of the workshop, participants presented projects, initiatives and ideas with assessments of the short- and long-term impact. These ideas drew on the intense discussions and proposals and how projects could be implemented at a country-level.

The conference provided opportunities for members of the Unrepresented Peoples and Nations Organization (UNPO), including the Ahwazis, to share their experiences and their struggles with social activists from Italy, Wales, Scotland, Germany, Finland, Catalonia Somaliland and Hungary.

Among the projects launched by activists as a result of the conference was the "Safe Haven" initiative. It intends to ensure transparency in how EU authorities and member states deal with refugee facilities within the EU through systematic grassroots monitoring and evaluation initiatives. Within days, the "Safe Haven" Facebook page generated hundreds of followers

Ahwaz Human Rights Organization thanks UNPO and other organizers for creating this event and all their efforts to establish long-lasting sustainable peaceful societies by training youth and bringing alternative solutions to the table.
