A number of well-known Islamic Republic Mollahs stated a Fatwa (Islamic law) allowing organ donation of death sentenced Ahwazi Arab prisoners. They have also allowed trafficking of death sentenced prisoners. The Fatwa has been published in many Iranian websites. Senior clerics who issued the Fatwa are: Ayatollah Shabiri Zanjani, Seyed Saeed Hakim, Makarem Shirazi, Mousa Ardebili, Nouri Hamedani and Ayatollah Saneyi.
